How a Race Works

The field

During The Minting, Season 1's first phase, every race launched 5 fresh horse coins on pump.fun, named $H001, $H002, and onward. Each one is a real coin you can buy and sell on the open market. You back a horse by buying its coin. Now that all 100 horses exist, races draw from the living field instead of minting new ones.

The clock

Every race runs for a flat 1 hour.

  • Each race in the minting season runs 1 hour.
  • There is a short 3 minute gap between races.

Short, fixed races mean the whole 100 horse field mints fast, so the season moves and Phase 2 comes sooner.

Winning

When the clock hits zero, that is the bell. The horse with the highest USD market cap at the bell wins. We read the market cap straight from pump.fun, the same number you see, so the winner cannot be disputed. If two horses somehow tie, the win goes to the lower mint address. It is deterministic and reproducible.

What the market cap means

You are not betting on a number we invent. You are betting on a live, on chain market cap that anyone can watch in real time on the track. The horse the market values most at the bell is the winner. Simple.
