New Land

Sixty four plots are claimable in the Field today. Eleven more exist and are locked, held in reserve, and they open as the world grows.

How a plot unlocks

The rule is simple and it does not involve us. Every third new account that reaches level 8 unlocks one plot. Nothing else opens one: not gloo, not a vote, not a schedule.

Two conditions on the account that counts:

  • It has to be new, created after the reserve was set up. Accounts that were already here do not count, or the whole reserve would have opened on day one.
  • It has to reach level 8. That is a real afternoon of play, so the counter tracks players rather than wallets.

Each account counts once, ever. There is no way to farm it.

What is in the reserve

The eleven open in a fixed order that was written down before any of them unlocked, so nobody can steer which size comes next.

Size In reserve Claim price Level
6x6 7 12,000 gloo 3
8x8 3 28,000 gloo 7
10x10 1 60,000 gloo 12

They are the most expensive lots of their size in the world, on the same rule the second wave followed: newer land costs more than the land that came before it. Everything else about them is ordinary. Same build costs, same level gates, same one plot per soul.

What you see

A locked reserve plot stands in the Field like any other, and reading it says locked. this will unlock as the userbase grows. Try to claim it and you get the same sentence back.

When one opens, the world hears about it: a new 6x6 plot just unlocked in the field, in chat and as a toast, for everyone online. Those announcements are batched and go out every eight hours, so several can arrive at once.

Why it works this way

Land is the one thing in the world that genuinely ran out. Sixty four lots for everyone who will ever play meant the hundredth player found nothing left to buy. Tying new ground to new players keeps the supply honest: the world only makes more land when there are more people in it, and the people who caused it are the ones who need it.

Supply of everything else still works the other way. New material only ever arrives with a new zone, and no pool is ever topped up.
