What is worth holding

An item is useful because someone wants to use it, equip it or display it. A limited supply does not guarantee a sale. Check real trades and available orders on the Exchange, not a claimed price in chat.

Basics

Material Common reasons to spend it
Horse shit Bricks, armour fusing and horse throws
Bone Gear, charm fusing, fishing leaders and human throws
Hide, sap and straw Fishing line, rods, bait and other crafts
Water Bricks, glass, fishing supplies and aquarium care
Scrap Equipment, glass, furniture and rod servicing

These are the seven basics. They are limited per day, not per world, and raw basics rot about 1/30 a day, so a hoard shrinks by about two thirds a month. Crafted goods do not rot: bricks, gear and furniture keep. Horse shit comes from stables and the activity bar, not nodes.

Rare materials

Material Uses / source
Keystone Largest stable builds; Lil Knacker
Iron fittings Large stables and player shops; eligible creature/chest drops
Fishbone Kiln refining into bone; hostile Ocean fish
Frozen sap Frozen sword forging and fusing; Knacker's Pass

Rare materials have a fixed supply that never grows back, and they do not rot. Rare raw material left in idle storage can return to the world, so a pool that reads empty may have more later. See Basics and rare materials.

Land, gear and fish

A stable provides storage, riding access, a home and horse-shit production. It consumes upkeep bricks, and land can enter an inactivity auction. Available Field plots change as reserved land unlocks and owners leave or sell.

Rolled gear trades as individual listings at player shops, so a strong roll may still take time to sell. Cosmetics have finite house stock and player resale. Neither an asking price nor a previous sale promises what the next buyer will pay.

Fishing specimens retain size and catcher records. Players can trade them, show them, keep them in an aquarium or consume eligible fish for paint. Ordinary fish have no automatic Bank payout. The Gilded Sovereign has its specific reserved redemption; owning another rare fish does not create the same entitlement.

Plan materials around what you want to build or maintain. Supply totals, completed trades and actual demand are more useful than assuming every scarce item will rise in price.
